RUSSIA EXTENDS WESTERN FOOD BAN FOR ANOTHER 1.5 YEARS

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has decided to extend for 18 months the existing bans on imports of food and agricultural products to Russia from the European Union (EU), according to a Kremlin spokesperson. Putin has ordered that the ban will now last until December 31, 2018. The categories of food products covered by the existing ban will remain unchanged.
