BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE WORLD Trade Organisation's general council has been asked to approve global trading regulations stating that where shapes and parts previously knitted or crocheted into shape are assembled into clothing, they should generally be considered a new product.These would be considered made in the country of assembly rather then where the parts were sourced, unless manufacture took place in more than one country, in which case the product origin would be where the pieces were knitted or crocheted.
