RUBBER RECYCLING

FORD UK has promised that covers and jackets for its vehicle owner manuals will be made from recycled rubber in future as part of a pledge to recycle all of its manufacturing waste. The move came as Ford signed up to the Mayor of London's "Green Procurement Code" run by London Remade. A spokesman said Ford's engineers had highlighted that tyres would be the main source for materials.
