THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) Council of Ministers has extended to Sri Lanka and Indonesia 58.6% definitive anti-dumping duties imposed in 2003 on imports into the EU of iron or steel tube or pipe fittings manufactured in China, because of concerns about tariff evasion. The European Commission claims that these products are being diverted to Sri Lanka and Indonesia and then re-exported to the EU, evading the duties.
