BY KEITH NUTHALLA GIANT robot that resembles a four-legged spider has been developed by a European Union (EU) funded research project to shore up unstable slopes, preventing landslides without putting workers' lives at risk. ROBOCLIMBER has been developed by a consortium of nine companies and research teams in four EU countries, among them Italian engineering company D'Appolonia.
