RICHLY FUNDED EU AVIATION POLLUTION PROJECT LAUNCHED IN BRUSSELS

THE EUROPEAN Commission has launched a Euro 1.6 billion research programme called Clean Sky, to create greener, more environmentally-efficient aircraft. A global scheme, Clean Sky participants include 86 organisations from 16 countries, including 15 research centres and 17 universities. Their aim is to produce civil aviation planes and control systems that emit less pollution than today, consume fewer resources and create less noise.
