REMOTE EU REGION SUBSIDIES

BY KEITH NUTHALLFISHING boat operators, and fish processing and marketing groups in of the Azores and Madeira, (part of Portugal), Spain's Canary Islands and the French departments of Guyana and Reunion (in the Indian Ocean) should be guaranteed Euro 60 million in subsidies over the next four years. The European Commission has asked European Union (EU) ministers to approve the plan.
