REACH FEES SET BY EUROPEAN COMMISSION

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Commission has published fees for registering, evaluating and authorising chemicals under the new REACH control procedures. From June 1, basic registration fees will range from Euro 1,600 for substances produced in volumes below ten tonnes, to Euro 31,000 for those above 1,000 tonnes. Discounts of 90% will be available for micro-enterprises; 60% for small companies; and 30% for medium-sized companies.
