PTY DUMPING DUTIES

BY KEITH NUTHALLMOVES by the European Commission to extend anti-dumping duties on imports into the European Union (EU) of polyester textured filament yarn (PTY) from Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia have been abandoned. This follows a note from (CIRFS) the International Rayon and Synthetic Fibres Committee that it was formally withdrawing a request for expiry reviews of the anti-dumping measures that could have led to their extension. EU ministers have not yet been asked to scrap the duties however, which - as it stands - should run until 2005 for Taiwan ...
