THE STANDING Veterinary Committee of the EU has recommended a gradual lifting of the ban on some Portuguese beef exports, namely de-boned meat from animals, born after July 1, 1999, between 6 and 30 months of age, complying with the Date Based Export Scheme. The ban on live cattle exports will remain in place.
