POLITICAL PIRATES

THE INTERNATIONAL Maritime Bureau is calling for investigations to determine whether heavily armed pirates using fishing and speed-boats who have launched a spate of attacks on small oil tankers in the Malacca Straits are actually independence rebels from the Indonesian province of Aceh. The IMB fears political pirates might take more risks than financially-motivated attackers.
