POLAND VAT LAWS CHALLENGED
September 1st, 2013THE EUROPEAN Court of Justice (ECJ) has been asked to rule on whether Poland’s levying of a reduced VAT rate to medical equipment and pharmaceuticals is legal under European Union (EU) VAT law. The European Commission argues it says such products must exclusively help disabled people to attract low VAT, but Poland allows this exemption for general medical equipment and non-medicinal pharmaceutical products such as disinfectants and spa products.
