THE PLANS of Canada’s conservative government to record conversations in specific areas of certain airports are on hold pending a review from the country’s privacy commissioner, following a public backlash over privacy concerns.The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada is currently waiting on the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to submit a privacy impact assessment of its plans before conducting a review, said Scott Hutchinson, spokesperson for the commissioner.
