SOUTH African company Phamtin, the tin arm of the Phamine company has launched preparatory operations of a new tin smelter and tin concentrator plant in the country's northern Limpopo Province.

Lucas Mkhwanazi chief executive of Phamine said that the new division and the new facilities are part of the revival of the South African tin mining industry.
