PET DUTY: ISRAEL/BRAZIL

BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE EUROPEAN Commission has asked the European Union (EU) Council of Ministers to extend definitive countervailing duties imposed on Indian exports to the EU of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film to Brazil and Israel. Brussels fears that Brazilian and Israeli companies are being used as fronts to funnel PET into the EU market, evading the duties.
