PARAGUAY BEEF

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) Council of Ministers has banned all imports of bovine fresh meat into the EU from Paraguay, because of alleged serious problems regarding the south Americans' control and supervision of Foot and Mouth Disease outbreaks in their country. The decision had been earlier approved by the Standing Committee for the Food Chain and Animal Health.
