City of Ottawa councillors are to debate a proposal from a council citizens' committee on the environment that pass a by-law stopping people from wearing perfume, scented soaps and deodorants to work. This would be preceded by a public awareness campaign teaching people on how scents can trigger asthma attacks, followed by voluntary guidelines stopping people wearing scents.
