OLIVE OIL AID

THE EUROPEAN Parliament has called for EU member states to be given the right to pay all aid olive oil production subsidies as direct payments, unrelated to the olives grown and processed. The European Commission has proposed limiting these direct payments to 60 per cent of all subsidies.
