OLEG DERIPASKA TO CONSOLIDATE CONTROL OF LARGEST AIRPORT IN RUSSIA’S EASTERN SIBERIA

Oleg Deripaska, the Russian industrialist who is close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, plans to secure a 100% stake in Yemelyanovo airport, in Krasnoyarsk, the largest airport in central and eastern Siberia. Russian-language newspapers suggest the cost will be Russian Roubles RUB5 billion (USD83 million). Currently Deripaska owns 51% of the airport, with the remainder owned by the Krasnoyarsk regional government.
