OECD SECRETARY GENERAL SLAMS PANAMA SECRECY AFTER LEAKS

ORGANISATION for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) secretary general Angel Gurría has slammed Panama’s “culture and practice of secrecy,” following the ‘Panama Papers’ leaks. Gurría noted: “Panama is the last major holdout that continues to allow funds to be hidden offshore from tax and law enforcement authorities” and called for it to “put its house in order” by implementing international tax transparency standards.
