OECD ADVISES G8 GROUP ON TAX TRANSPARENCY

THE ORGANISATION for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) has advised the G8 group of nations on improving their tax information transparency. They include four steps: broad laws helping governments expand their network of partner jurisdictions sharing tax data; clarifying the legal basis for swapping such information; refining reporting and due diligence requirements; and developing common or compatible IT standards to facilitate information swaps.
