MEPs has supported a critical report by Finnish MEP Esko Olavi Seppänen saying it fails to indicate any weaknesses in existing nuclear safety regulations. Furthermore, his report said that the legislation would duplicate the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) nuclear safety convention.
