Keith NuthallTHE NORWEGIAN government has moved to liberalise its alcohol retail system, following the order from the European Free Trade Area Court that it should scrap its discriminatory beer retail system, where the sale of brands of between 2.5% and 4.75% abv outside the state alcohol monopoly Vinmonopolet is generally limited to domestically-produced lines. Norway's parliament will now discuss a bill allowing all products up to 4.5 % abv to be sold in normal food stores.
