NEW ZEALAND NEW PROVISIONS FOR COSMETIC NANO LABELLING

NEW Zealand's Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has announced that from July 2015, cosmetic products containing nanomaterials must clearly identify them on labels. New regulations will also bring definitions for 'preservatives', 'colourants' and 'UV filters in New Zealand's Cosmetic Products Group Standard in line with EU definitions, and require manufacturer original source or batch code information on labels, aiding recalls.
