NEW YORK STATE’S SYRACUSE AIRPORT TO BE REVAMPED

THE FIRST phase of construction to transform up-state New York’s Syracuse Hancock International Airport into a more modern facility has begun, the state Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced. The USD48.8 million project is scheduled to be completed by next autumn (2018). It involves the redesign and reconstruction of the terminal building, which will expand by 14,500 square feet, with better food, beverage and retail outlets, e-ticketing facilities, upgraded ticketing counters and improved baggage claim areas.
