BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE KEY European Commissioner for Europe's road haulage industry over the next four years will be France's Jacques Barrot, who will become the new European Union (EU) transport commissioner. Replacing Spaniard Loyola de Palacio, the Frenchman shares her conservative politics and will also be a vice-president of the European Commission. Barrot was once chairman of France's ruling UMP party (of president Jacques Chirac).
