MOTOR VEHICLES SECOND MOST COMMON SUBJECT OF CONSUMER SAFETY ALERTS CIRCULATED BY THE EU LAST YEAR

MOTOR vehicles and their parts were the second most common category of goods reported in safety warnings by consumer regulators in the European Union (EU) last year, according to a new annual report from the EU Safety Gate system. This involves European consumer regulators receiving safety warnings about products, including from auto manufacturers, and circulating these alerts via this central European portal. The idea is that all EU member states are aware of these problems and can act, maybe by insisting on a product recall.
