Mongolia wants to increase the sustainability of its cashmere industry through more vertical integration ā€“ processing cashmere into premium finished garments locally. And it also wants to reduce the national herd to sustainable levels from a current high of 30 million. In short, the national cashmere sector wants to stress quality over quantity.
