MILK REFORM GUIDELINES PROPOSED EP AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE

BY MONICA DOBIE THE EUROPEAN Parliament agriculture committee has today (Tues 17-7) proposed help for the European Union (EU) dairy industry to help it prepare for upcoming EU milk market liberalisation reforms. These will save an estimated total of Euro 117.3 million in reduced subsidies from 2008 to 2013. The fund would provide producers and processors with a soft landing, without excessive cost.
