The migoi's body is said to be covered in hairs reddish-brown or black, but its face is hairless. Tales abound of Bhutanese said to have talked to them, or even abducted by lovelorn migois. Bhutan's government believes in them and has set aside a 650 square kilometre Sakten Wildlife Sanctuary, specifically for the migoi.
