MEPS VOTE TO BAN CLONED ANIMAL MEAT AND DAIRY PRODUCTS

BY ALAN OSBORN THE EUROPEAN Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for a legislative amendment within European Union legislation to ban cloning animals for economic reasons, preventing their use for meat and dairy products. "It's degrading to animals and causes suffering. Animals are sentient beings and should be treated with respect. They are not commodities," just-food was told by Janusz Wojciechowski, the Polish MEP who proposed this declaration.
