MEPS CALL FOR TOUGHER FINANCIAL CONTROLS ON PRE-ACCESSION FUNDING

This so-called 'pre-accession' expenditure helps enable applicant countries, such as Croatia, to bring their public administration, environmental regulations and other governance up to EU standards.
