MEPS BACK EU COUNTRY-BY-COUNTRY REPORTING LAW

THE EUROPEAN Parliament has supported a proposed European Union (EU) directive requiring multinationals to report taxes on a country-by-country basis. Under the text backed by MEPs, income tax information of multinationals with a worldwide turnover exceeding EUR750 million would be published in each EU jurisdiction where the company or a subsidiary operates. Data would be freely available online following set template.
