MEAT traders should be officially registered and covered by official controls, Enrico Frabetti, deputy secretary general of the Liaison Centre for the Meat Processing Industry in the EU (CLITRAVI) told a conference organised in the European Parliament yesterday (Tues) afternoon.“There should be a register for meat brokers at European Union (EU) level to make sure they are known, but food business operators should also know what traders they are working with,” Frabetti told delegates to the event organised by Dutch centre-right MEP Esther de Lange.The deputy ...
