MAJOR TELCOS UNHAPPY WITH BEREC NET NEUTRALITY DRAFT GUIDANCE

MAJOR telecoms companies have criticised net neutrality guidelines released by European regulators group BEREC, arguing they will restrict their freedom to provide services further than the European Union’s (EU) net neutrality regulation (EU) 2015/2120.
Because national telecoms regulators will be the gatekeeper of this law, it cannot come into force until BEREC (the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications) approves detailed guidance on how it should be applied.
