MAJOR CHINA AIRLINES GET GO AHEAD FOR BUILDING BASES AT DAXING

CHINA’S National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has approved plans from China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines to build bases at Beijing’s new international airport in Daxing. The operational base for China Eastern Airlines would be 1.17 million square metres, with the airline raising and sending Chinese Yuan Renminbi CNY13.2 billion (USD1.9 billion) on the project, funding 30% of the costs itself, and borrowing the rest.
