The European Commission’s long-awaited release of EU scientific criteria to identify endocrine disrupting (hormone changing) chemicals in pesticides and biocides this week could impact on the supply of livestock feed, EU farm group Copa-Cogeca has said. Chemicals labelled as endocrine disruptors as a result, will see their availability restricted.
And while these chemicals are not directly fed to livestock, feed grown with pesticides and herbicides that includes endocrine disrupters may see production impeded as the plant protection market is shaken ...
