LIVE EXPORTS CONVENTION

EUROPEAN Union (EU) ministers have been formally asked by the European Commission to sign the revised European Convention for the Protection of Animals during International Transport. This (non-EU) Council of Europe agreement includes detailed rules on the most widely traded livestock, with variations for different types of transport. It covers most European countries, even Russia.
