LINDT RISKS LOSS OF CHOCOLATE EASTER BUNNY TRADEMARK

SWISS chocolate giant Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli will - as expected - have to demonstrate to Austrian judges that its trademarking of the shape and wrapping of its popular Easter bunny line was not designed to drive a rival chocolate bunny maker out of business. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has now released its preliminary ruling, which concluded Austrian courts could void the registration, if filed in "bad faith".
