After relocating from a small community-based hospital in north Wales to a city hospital in Newark, New Jersey, Layla San Martin (whose husband is American) said she remembers her first nursing experience in the United States was a big learning experience. Her first posting in the US was at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Centre.
