EVIDENCE is growing that Turkey’s knitting manufacturing industry is outsourcing an increasing volume of its production to contract knitters within Turkey, as it seeks to tackle a number of challenges faced by the sector.Nesim Bensusan, president of Bensu AS, a knitwear manufacturer in Istanbul, told WTiN that in 2013 it reduced the number of its knitting machines from 40 to 20.
