KIRIN BEER TO TEST MARKET NEW BEER IN THE USA

BY WANG FANGQING Major Japanese brewer Kirin Brewery Company is to test the American market its non-alcoholic beer 'Free' in March. Priced between US dollars USD3 to USD5 per bottle (334ml), 'Free' will be initially sold in over 1,000 restaurants in west coast cities, notably Los Angeles, with motorists a key target. "According to our research, the US, as a highly motorised country, holds a huge potentialmarket for alcohol-free beer," said a Kirin spokesman.
