AMERICAN chicken chain KFC has adopted eight humane guidelines for its suppliers that address breeding, hatching and raising of poultry, including adequate growth space and routine inspections of facilities. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) group claims the new promised standards would still involve much "pain" for chickens.
