IVORY Coast has imported more than double the value of cosmetic products in 2015 when compared with 2009, from the European Union (EU) alone, signaling the creation of a booming domestic beauty market as the country emerges from a civil war that ended in 2011.
Data from EU statistical agency Eurostat supplied to Soap Perfumery & Cosmetics showed that EU annual exports of essential oil and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations to the west African nation generated revenues of EUR22 million (USD23.58 million) in 2009, and then doubled by 2015, ...
