KEITH NUTHALLTHE EUROPEAN Investment Bank (EIB) is planning to provide Edison SpA, of Italy, with a substantial Euro 250 million loan to help design, construct and operate two combined cycle gas turbines, which would provide electricity to the national grid. Both would be in southern Italy; the first would supply 760 MWe at Altomonte, Calabria, and the second 380 MWe at Candela, Apulia.
