ITALIAN HAM PRODUCERS SCORE MARKETING AID FROM EU

ITALIAN manufacturers of Prosciutto and Parma ham, and Parmigiano cheese will get a large share of Euro 1.78 million European Union (EU) subsidies for marketing outside the EU. Italian organic food association l'Associazione dei Produttori Biologici e Biodinamici (Pro.BER) gets Euro 1.67 million, while Euro 1.7 million goes to Cypriot dairy and Euro 459,000 to Greek processed fruit producers.
