INTERNATIONAL REGULATORY ROUND UP – ISO PLOTS COCOA SUSTAINABILITY STANDARD

THE INTERNATIONAL Organization for Standardization (ISO) has developed a series of standards designed to promote sustainability in the chocolate and cocoa sector, and wants industry input. It has released drafts on the ISO 34101 series, on ‘sustainable and traceable cocoa beans’, and wants expert opinions on them, for submission by December 4. Feedback will be considered and maybe integrated into the final standards, to be published in 2017.
