INTERNATIONAL REGULATORY ROUND UP – EU PROTECTIVE PET DUTIES TO BE REIMPOSED

THE EUROPEAN Commission has proposed re-imposing tough definitive countervailing and antidumping duties on imports into the European Union (EU) of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) from India. The countervailing duties have a standard rate of 69.4% and the anti-dumping duties Euro EUR153.60 per tonne. The Commission also wants to re-impose antidumping duties of EUR143.40/tonne on Taiwanese PET exports to the EU and EUR83.20/tonne on Thai exports.
