INTERNATIONAL REGULATORY ROUND UP – EU PROPOSES MAJOR COMPANY LAW REFORMS

The European Commission has proposed new European Union (EU) company law procedures saying how a company should move from one EU country to another; companies from different countries can merge; or one company can divide into two or more new units in more than one EU country. The planned directive is designed to protect employees' rights and prevent tax abuses during such changes.
