INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ADVISES EGYPT CLOTHING MANUFACTURERS IN BOOSTING PERFORMANCE THROUGH LABOUR IMPROVEMENTS

CLOTHING manufacturers, international brands and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) have met in Cairo to discuss how to improve labour efficiency, working conditions and personnel management, boosting Egypt’s potential as a production sourcing centre.
The Egyptian Textiles Buyers Forum, which met on Monday and Tuesday (March 14-15), managed to attract representatives from Decathlon, the Gap and Phillips-Van Heusen, for instance, although some brands stayed away – it is not known whether this was over security concerns.
